Description
Studio art pottery platter signed “Schwein 2014,” crafted in the rural community of Cuba, Missouri. This shallow, footed bowl features a scalloped edge and a richly textured surface reminiscent of lizard skin. The glaze blends a blue-gray base with rust-brown highlights that accentuate the raised pattern. The platter stands on three feet and measures approximately 9½ inches across and 1¼ inches high. In excellent condition with no chips or cracks. A striking example of contemporary regional ceramics, this piece reflects the tactile experimentation and earthy palette often found in Midwestern studio pottery.
